Suspected Homicide (Blue Hills)

The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force is aware of a serious incident that occurred earlier this evening at a supermarket in Blue Hills.

At approximately 5:29 p.m., the Police Command Centre received multiple reports of a robbery during which a security officer was killed.

Preliminary information suggests that three armed men approached the business and announced a hold-up.

Officers and medical personnel were immediately dispatched to the scene.  A further update will be provided as more information becomes available.

The RT&CIPF urges the public to notify the nearest police station, contact 911, or call the  Serious Crime Unit at 231-1842 to submit any information regarding this incident anonymously.
